Rotary Match Maker is a closed, Rotary-community-only matrimonial platform operated by Kaizen Infotech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. on behalf of Rotary India. Only verified Rotarians, Rotaractors, and their immediate family members may register and use this application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account & Identity Information
- Mobile phone number (used for OTP-based authentication)
- Rotary India membership ID and club details (for member verification)
- Full name, date of birth, gender
- Email address (optional)
1.2 Profile Information
- Personal details: height, complexion, mother tongue, religion, caste
- Educational qualifications and professional occupation
- Family background: parents' details, siblings, family type and values
- Partner preferences and expectations
- Profile photographs uploaded by you
- Privacy visibility settings you configure for each field
1.3 Usage & Activity Data
- Interest requests sent and received
- In-app messages exchanged with matched profiles
- Search filters and browsing activity within the app
- Notification preferences
1.4 Device Information
- Device type and operating system (Android / iOS)
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications
- Device name (optional, for multi-device management)
1.5 Automatically Collected Data
- Login timestamps and last active time
- OTP request logs (mobile number and expiry; not stored permanently)
- Push notification delivery status

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for commercial purposes.
3.1 Within the Platform
Your profile is visible only to verified Rotary members, subject to your privacy settings. Sensitive fields (contact number, exact address) are hidden by default and shared only after mutual consent.
3.2 Rotary India API
Your mobile number is shared with the Rotary India membership database solely to verify your membership at registration. No other data is transmitted.
3.3 Firebase (Google)
Your FCM device token is shared with Google Firebase solely to deliver push notifications. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
3.4 SMS Gateway
We use an SMS gateway to deliver OTP messages. Your mobile number and a one-time OTP are shared with this provider solely for authentication delivery.
3.5 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by applicable law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users and the public.
4. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored on secure servers hosted in India.
- Profile photographs are stored on our application server with access controls.
- All API communications are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
- Authentication is OTP-based only — passwords are never stored.
- OTP codes expire within 30 minutes and are invalidated after use.
- Role-based access controls limit data access to authorised personnel only.
5. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Data retained for as long as your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: Permanent deletion of all personal data within 30 days of account deletion request.
- OTP records: Expired and used OTPs are automatically purged.
- Notification history: Retained for 30 days, then automatically cleared.
- Messages: Retained for the duration of the mutual match.
- Audit logs: Retained for up to 12 months for safety and moderation.
6. Your Rights & Choices
- Access: View all profile information through the app.
- Correction: Update or correct your profile information at any time.
- Privacy controls: Configure field-level visibility for sensitive profile fields.
- Notification preferences: Enable or disable specific push notification categories in app settings.
- Account deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. Requests are processed within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Rotary Match Maker is intended exclusively for adults (18 years and above). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete such information promptly.
8. Closed Community Platform
This application is not open to the general public. Registration requires:
- Verification of an active Rotary India membership, OR
- An invitation from a verified Rotary sponsor (for candidates)
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
